Training Environment and Bystanders:
Small group training will consist of classes with up to 6-8 players.
Where:
Training sessions will be held in a public park in the Huntington Beach area. We are currently working on securing park space in different areas. Once you register, we will inform you of where the training sessions will be held.
Parent/Guardian Involvement During Training Sessions:
For the safety of our players, bystanders will be expected to remain out of communication distance from our training session area, so that players can fully focus on the coach and specific training session goals. We understand the importance of informing and involving parents regarding the principles and training session goals. Parents will be emailed educational topics routinely so they can be involved in their child's developmental process.
Punctuality:
Players are expected to show up 15 minutes prior to start time. In order to avoid injuries, players are expected warm up prior to each class.
Parent Meetings, Discussion, Communication:
While we encourage parents to ask for player development feedback, our staff will not be be available to have conversations with parents during scheduled training times, including thirty minutes before the first scheduled training session. However, parents can request a discussion time with the coaching staff.
Dress Code:
Please wear a white top, with black shorts and black socks until further notice. Once our uniforms are in, we will require our student athletes to dress professionally, according to our uniforms.
Levels of Training Explained
Toluca Soccer Academy ensures that its training opportunities reach youth players of all technical and tactical levels of play. Our goal for all players is to guide, inform, develop, and promote each player to the highest realistic level possible.
Level 1 - Academy, ECNL, MLS Next Players - This level of play is for players who are competing at the highest possible youth level. Specific Technical and Tactical Functional Training environments will be our priority for these players. These players will have opportunities throughout the year to travel to Mexico to play in combines and tournaments, in front of scouts, who will then follow their development.
Level 2 - Regional, Discovery, Flight 1 Players - Basic Technical Functional Training environments will be our priority for this group. When appropriate, we will introduce basic Tactical Functional Training. A few of these players will be selected to travel to Mexico to play in combines and tournaments, in front of scouts, who will then follow their development.
Level 3 - Flight 2 and Flight 3 Players - Basic Technical Functional Training environments will be our priority for this group. If appropriate, we will introduce basic Tactical Functional Training. There is a possibility for a few of these to be selected to travel to Mexico to play in tournaments.
Level 4 - Signature and Recreational Players - This level is for U10-U14 players who play for fun, but who would like to train with professional coaches. Our primary goal for these players will be to improve their overall soccer knowledge and skills to reach a higher level of play.
Pro Level Training - COMING SOON... - This level of training is for first or second year professional soccer players.
